The Settlement Processes and Services Guide – Bendigo Employment Region has been developed through a strong, place-based collaboration between the Settlement Leading Partners Network (SLPN), Workforce Australia Local Jobs, government departments, and key regional stakeholders. Central to its development was the active contribution of the English Education and Employment Network (EEEN), a sub-group of the Bendigo Local Settlement Network (BLSN), which provided ongoing consultation and sector insight throughout. This collaborative approach ensured the guide reflects both the national SLPN framework and the unique service delivery environment of the Bendigo region, with a clear focus on improving coordination, strengthening referral pathways, and enhancing outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
What distinguishes the Bendigo guide is its deeply embedded local governance and network-driven approach, leveraging the EEEN and broader BLSN structure to identify service gaps, align stakeholders, and promote integrated responses across education, employment, and settlement services.
