Employment regions are distinct geographical areas used by governments (such as the Australian Government) to manage and deliver tailored employment programs, skills training, and local labor market initiatives.
There are 51 Employment Regions covering populated regions, noting that they do not provide coverage of the whole of Australia, with most remote areas located outside of the Employment Region structure.
